Max is currently completing a dual MD/PhD at the University of Queensland. His research focuses on modulating the immune response to traumatic brain injuries, in order to improve patient outcomes, which follows on from his honours project for which he achieved a high class I. Max has gained entry into the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Queensland through the postgraduate entry pathway, in the process of which he scored in the 99.9th percentile for section 3. Outside of his studies, Max plays violin for the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra.

Matt

Matt is a second-year medical student from The University of Melbourne. He achieved a Bachelor of Biomedicine degree at The University of Melbourne in 2019, and is now doing his placement in the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Matt’s key academic interests are Biology, Mathematics and Physics. Matt studied Biomedicine and Medicine at school and achieved Dean’s list. Mathilde

Mathilde is a MD student currently studying at the University of Queensland. Her key academic interests are medical ethics as it relates to medical practice. Mathilde sat the GAMSAT and obtained a section 2 score in the 98th percentile.  Mathilde has 5 years of experience in tutoring and mentoring student in different areas. During her undergraduate degree, Mathilde was a key member of the undergraduate teaching team at QUT for the schools of Nursing and Biomedical Sciences and has succeeded in obtaining a place in the Doctor of Medicine at UQ. Darcy

Darcy is currently a medical student at The University of Melbourne with a passionate interest in the field of neuroscience and philosophy. He graduated from Scotch College with excellent marks in VCE.  Darcy has consistently scored in the 99th percentile for section II of the GAMSAT over two sittings. He received overall scores reaching the 95th and 99th percentile. He has two years experience in tutoring high school sciences and English as well as 3 years of tutoring experience in GAMSAT. He specialises in section II but enjoys teaching all three sections.

Daniel

Dan is a second year medical student at The University of Sydney. He is currently in the running for a Royal Australasian College of Surgeons dissection scholarship. Previously, Dan was a Biomedical Science/Medicine student at the University of Queensland, majoring in Microbiology & Immunology. He is actively involved in United Nations Youth Australia and has been all over the world for public speaking competitions.  Dan placed in the top 0.4% in the GAMSAT, and graduated from his degree with high distinction.  He loves talking about Biomedical Science, and extensively engages in the UQ Association of Biomedical Students.
